Turkish ports halt operations after earthquake

The earthquake struck southeast Turkey and parts of the Mediterranean coast on Feb. 6, disrupting port operations and collapsing a number of containers at the port of Iskenderun, according to Lloyd's List, an international shipping outlet. At around 17:00 local time on February 6, a container in the storage yard of Iskenderun Port in Turkey overturned and caught fire due to unknown reasons. Firefighters from the port administration and municipal authorities have rushed to the scene to put out the fire. There were no immediate reports of casualties or damage.

Iskenderun is a Turkish Mediterranean port located in Hatay province, Turkey, which was hit by the earthquake.
